on Monday, i’ll be on my way to WPPI again. i’m excited to hang out with some of my wedding photography family and meet some new faces too.
can’t wait to hug this bunch especially.
and for those of you roadtripping or traveling to Vegas, made a playlist for you. it has EVERYTHING.
be prepared to dance. and throw confetti, obviously.
happy weekend all.

well i’ve finally succumbed to being sick. all this traveling and running around eating at every place possible and hanging out with friends as much as i could has finally caught up with me. plus, practicing singing every day at the top of my lungs with the funniest and most awkward voice exercises. thank goodness this is LA so my neighbors aren’t surprised that maybe a struggling singer lives next to them. and by struggling, i mean not so great with her voice.
despite the sickness, my long weekend was great. hung out with Anne, met Emily, hiked with a co-worker, hung out with a friend at the beach, had an Amazing Race viewing party cause my friend is on it (!!!) and met up with Chandra. p.s. did you know she’s my neighbor? so awesome having her near by. also sidenote, walking along the beach is super therapeutic, i’m so glad i live near the ocean. i’m a cancer so i guess i am always drawn to the water.
Chandra also kindly lent me her screener of Silver Linings Playbook. have you all seen it? if not, you must!
two of the songs have been on my playlist this week. love Dave Brubeck Quartet’s Unsquare Dance and i’m obsessed with Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash’s Girl from North Country. the other three are random and of course, i like the lyrics. so enjoy.
hope you all have a great weekend! oooh and enjoy the Oscars!!

so if you hadn’t read this post, i mentioned that i decided to take voice lessons. i used to be in choir in elementary/middle school. even tried out for the international company of Les Misérables for the role of young Cosette/Eponine back in the day. so far the lessons have been more than therapeutic for me. so fun to pick singing up again and strengthen my vocal cords so i can attempt to sing like the powerhouses, Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand (two of my faves ever). one interesting trivia fact i’ve learned through lessons is that Judy Garland never sang an octave above middle C!
anyways, i’m driving up to the bay area today to celebrate Chinese New Year with the whole family. so you can be rest assured that I’m belting out these tunes in the car. i’m going to be that little girl with the big voice one day. (hah, who am i kidding?!)
enjoy and have a great weekend!

taking next week off as i’ll be off exploring the concrete jungle and i won’t really be able to dedicate time to the blog
so while i enjoy my time in NYC, here’s a playlist for you to enjoy.
random again…super random this time.
additionally, if you want to follow me and my travels to the east coast, check out and follow:
you may or may not find me throwing confetti.

here are a few tunes to start the weekend. have a good one all!

we’re going to see Mary Poppins this weekend
my mum’s been really wanting to see Mary Poppins
especially since when my sister and i were little
we watched Mary Poppins multiple times.
my mum is a huge fan of Julie Andrews
so you can imagine what our household was like back then.
now she just has to put up with me and belting out songs from Sound of Music randomly.
xoxo,

hope you all have a great one!
xoxo,
