“I always envisioned my wedding reception being outdoors with white tents and twinkle lights, but when we decided on an August wedding in Tennessee, we decided to bring the charm of an outdoor reception inside at the Foundry. I picked the most summery bridesmaids dresses and colors I could think of and then Mason picked a tan suit and orange bowtie to match. When we met with Carrie at Whimsical Gatherings, she took my vision of old wood, mason jars and mercury glass and pretty, soft, but summery flowers and added some surprises, like the old books, picture frames and barnwood boxes. It completely fit what I wanted. We also wanted to incorporate some Volunteer Traditions stuff, so all the groomsmen wore the belts, and we used the bowties tied around the Mason jars and had a tristar groomscake. I also made my garter from an old Volunteer Traditions tie “
